INTERNATIONAL EUROPEAN MUSIC COMPETITION

Foreword to the Competition

The “INTERNATIONAL EUROPEAN MUSIC COMPETITION” opens the doors to Europe and offers participants an opportunity and a channel to reach the European music world. Music educators from different countries work together to promote outstanding talent. By participating in musical events and master classes, as well as performing and exchanging ideas with European participants, participants can increase their motivation to learn and self-confidence. The competition also promotes international exchange of music and culture.

The Competition

  1. The preliminary rounds take place in Asian countries and regions such as Thailand, Taiwan ,Malaysia, singaporeand and Hong Kong. The final will take place in Germany in July. The jury members are musicians and teachers from European music universities. 

  2. Before the final there will be a master class that those interested can take part in. Rooms are available for a fee. 

  3. Participants who achieve over 83 points in the preliminary round are entitled to take part in the final.

Prize  Regulations

Level categories: : 

Professional classical and amateur classical

Age group and scoring programs: 

Beginner Group (up to 6 years old) – Any self-selected piece winthin  3 minutes

Elimentary school junior Group (7-8 years old) – Any self-selected piece winthin  3 minutes Children's group A (9-10 years old) – Any self-selected piece winthin  4  minutes

Children's group B (11-12 years old) –Any self-selected piece winthin  4  minutes

Youth group A (13-15 years old) – Any self-selected piece winthin  4  minutes

Youth group B (16-18 years old) – Any self-selected piece winthin  4  minutes

Adult group (19-70 years old) - Any self-selected piece winthin  4  minutes

 

Instrument group:

I. Solo (Vocal) :

  • Piano: Classical Piano, Pop Piano

  • String Instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Harp, Guitar, Ukulele, etc.

  • Woodwind Instruments: Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Saxophone, Recorder, Harmonica, etc.

  • Brass Instruments: Cornet, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Tuba, etc.

  • Vocal: Solo Opera, Lied, Musicals

  • Traditional Folk Instruments: Erhu, Dizi (Chinese flute), Sheng, Suona, Xiao, Guzheng, Yangqin, Pipa, Liugin.

 

II. Chamber Music :

     Four-Hand Piano, String Ensemble, Woodwind Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, Choir, Piano            Trio, Piano Quintet. Pop Music, Others.

Evaluation

Participants must recite the works from memory. If the complete piece takes longer than stated, the performance will be stopped after the stated time. 

The accompaniment is played live. If the participants do not have their own companion, a companion will be appointed by the organization. 

The jury will evaluate the presentation from a technical and musical perspective, taking into account the registered level categories. All presentations are rated with a maximum of 100 points.

Prize  regulations

Regular Groups and Music Class Groups: Participants will be ranked and awarded based on the overall average scores. Those who meet the reward score criteria will be awarded in descending order of scores. If a participant has already received the champion, runner-up, or third-place awards, they will not receive gold, silver, or bronze certificates.
 

Champion and Runner-up: The top three participants with the highest total scores in each group will be awarded a trophy and certificate for both the student and one guiding teacher.

 

  • "Champion (1st place)": A score of 88 or above is required; otherwise, the award will be vacant.

  • "Runner-up (2nd place)": A score of 85 or above is required; otherwise, the award will be vacant.

  • "Third Place (3rd place)": A score of 83 or above is required; otherwise, the award will be vacant.

 

Gold, Silver, Bronze: Participants will receive a trophy and certificate for the student and a certificate for the guiding teacher.

    

  • "Gold Award": A score of 86 or above is required.

  • "Silver Award": A score of 83 or above is required.

  • "Bronze Award": A score of 80 or above is required.

  • "Gold Sound Award": A score of 75 or above is required.
     

*The outstanding participants who have been unanimously recognized by the judges will be selected with the highest honors and can participate in the winner's concert and perform the complete repertoire.

Dates and Deadlines

There will be different dates in each country and region. Please note the information in the respective language. Application fees will not be refunded once processed.
